OMG this is finally done! I have literally worked on this thing all day...
This is definitely the longest I've taken on a drawing like this, but I wanted to make it very detailed because I do love Kuzco. Anyway, at the risk of ripping off *shoomlah
(although I didn't intend to) this is my version of a historically-inspired Emperor Kuzco!
Kuzco is the Incan emperor, and historically I'm pretty sure he would be equally as vain and self-centered, considering the Incans worshipped their Emperor like a god! Surprisingly, apart from being really simplified and stylized, Kuzco's clothing in the movie wasn't particularly inaccurate. I just made my historic version more elaborate by doing detailed metalwork and imitating the designs in Incan textiles on his robes. I also gave him a feathered crown like actual Incas wore and the big gold staff thing I kept seeing in all the illustrations. Even his painted nails and the plugs in his ears are historically accurate...even though it took forever he was really fun to draw!
