I was practicing drawing eyes last night - I love drawing eyes and doodle them all the time on paper but I still am not 100% satisfied with the way I render them in digital art compared to the original pencil drawings. Anyway, I thought I'd make up a sort of mini-tutorial on creating and choosing different kinds of eyes to fit different characters.
This isn't a tutorial on how to draw the actual eye because I'm still learning some things about that myself (like how to position it as the head turns, certain expressions, etc.). But I thought this might help you to give more style to your drawings and make your characters look more unique.
ETA: YAY, it's not uploading as a literature deviation anymore! Anyway I also wanted to add that the middle two rows were done when I was designing the looks for various Hey Arnold! characters! I wonder if you can tell who they are...
